I’m so excited to announce that my novel, Waiting at Hayden’s, will be the first book to be published that will allow readers to shop the characters’ outfits and home decor!
Growing up, I remember reading books like Sex and the City and wishing I could buy Carrie Bradshaw’s outfits. I’ve also been known to spend hours scouring the internet looking for home decor that’s similar to the items found in the characters’ homes in any Nancy Meyers’ movie. So, I decided to bring you a story where you can do what I could not: shop!
Next month, I’ll be working with a team of actors to produce filmed highlights of key scenes in my novel. In the digital version of the book, you’ll be able to click on links to watch these scenes unfold and you can shop the characters’ clothes from the book itself and on my blog. For my non-fashion enthusiasts or those who aren’t fans of Kindle or e-readers, Waiting at Hayden’s will also be released in both hardcover and paperback with shopping links available on my website.
While Waiting at Hayden’s is in no way about clothes, I think what we wear expresses who we are and my hope is that the clothes help you better connect to my characters and to this story that I am so excited to finally get to share!
Writing is primarily a solitary effort so it’s been so much fun to connect with other creatives in the fashion, acting, videography, and photography worlds in the final stages of bringing my female-driven love story to life. I can’t wait to share sneak peeks of the clothes and to introduce you to my characters as we film this next month.
