Over the weekend I hid several signed copies of Waiting at Hayden’s in the free little libraries on Balboa Island. I’m always borrowing books from these little libraries to take to the beach. I love finding new reads here that I wouldn’t have picked out at the bookstore and sharing my favorites with others on the island as well.
A while back I did a post about creative ways to use your books for home décor, but sharing, re-gifting, and donating books is my favorite use for them—especially when I really love a story.
I recently read Daisy Jones & The Six solely because it was a Reese Witherspoon Book Club pick. I would have never chosen the book otherwise because the plot didn’t initially interest me. But it ended up being one of my favorite books I’ve ever read. There’s such power in recommendations. So, if you love a story, tell someone else about it! Or drop it off at a little free library in your neighborhood.
And if you find a copy of Waiting at Hayden’s on the Island, snap a pic and tag me on Instagram or post it below!
Happy Easter week, everybody. Let the hunt begin!
